Aim Learning
Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently Asked Questions.

What is Aim Learning?

Aim Learning is a group formed by the union of several independent learning providers. The founding members wanted to offer better service and value to learners than existing agencies while spending more time teaching rather than on administrative and promotional work. By forming their own organisation they could run more efficiently while also provide more time and a better service to learners at reasonable rates.

I would like help for school work or for my son or daughter at school. Can you help me?

Absolutely! We have tutors who work at all levels from pre-school children to pupils about to sit their A-level exams and everything in between including GCSE and SATs. We ensure that all teachers have relevant working and accademic experience and knowledge. All who work with children have received a recent official police background check (CRB/ Disclosure).

Do you only work with children?

Not at all! Around half of our learners are adults ranging from students to pensioners.

What subjects do you teach?

We teach a number of several different subjects including mathematics, physics and Computing/ I.T. More details are found on our taught subjects page. Even if you do not find what you are looking for on the website, we may still have a learning provider suitable for you and we recommend that you contact us.

I have particular or unusual learning needs. Can you still provide for me?

We may be able to. Our learning providers are highly adaptable. Examples of individual needs we have worked on include our foreign language teachers explaining technical vocabulary in their native language and helping students finish individual scientific and engineering projects.

Where are you based and do you do home visits?

We were previously based in South West London but have moved to Glasgow . We may be able to do home visits. Please contact us to find out.

I would like to work for Aim Learning, are you recruiting?

Yes we are looking for new talented learning providers with appropriate experience and qualifications. More details can be found here.

How much do you charge?

Different tutors charge different rates depending on their subject and background but we can ensure you that by cutting out middlemen and administration our rates are cheaper than other agencies, often around half the price.

Do you teach individuals or classes?

Both. We often visit people at their home but for larger groups we can arrange classes at your choice of venue. Often this is a church hall or community centre as is appropriate but smaller groups may be accommodated at your home.

I'm on a budget, can I save money?

Our services are already competitively priced, but if you want to make further savings we can arrange group lessons that can be a fraction of the cost of individual lessons for each learner. Some tutors also host lessons at their own residence at a lower rate.

I'm interested. How can I arrange lessons and when can you start?

We can arrange lessons by email, at info@aimlearning.co.uk or by telephoning 07846865578. For further details on how to contact us click here. We will then look for a learning provider to suit your needs. Depending on availability, we may be able to provide lessons the same or next day.
